Funny Misbadged cars!!!

So what is the funniest/gayest car you have seen that has obviously been misbadged. Im not talkin about all the Integras with the fake Type R badging, but the truely funny ones.

One of my favorites i saw this weekend. It was a '99 Honda Civic. first thing i noticed was the nice blue paint job and the two perfectly round taillights. i pulled alongside and noticed that the car had GTR stickers and a Skyline badge. I was like OMFG this stupid Civic has been made to look like a Skyline! from the rear it looked like a real Skyline, but from the side it was obviously to short.

Another funny car i saw was a brand new Nissan Sentra GXE. It had been painted bright yellow, with a dark limo tint on all windows. The first thing i noticed was how loud it was. It sounded like it had a massive fan in front of the engine! the next thing i noticed was that on the trunk lid it had an SE-R badge. after that i saw that the owner had put the stickers of his performance parts on the window of his two rear doors (he had an AEM, Tsudo headers, and Injen stickers). Then looking at the front i saw that the dude had taken the Nissan symbol off the grill and replaced it with a GTR symbol. so now i guess Nissan makes a Sentra SE-R GTR.

There is a car in my town that looks like a Lamborghini Murcielago, but pulled along side it, it doesn't sound like one...anyway, this yellow NSX pulls up next to it, and tells the guy to go to the gas station, he wants to check it out. I follow (eavesdropping on convo) and pull in. Turns out this Lambo was a kit car, and was actually like a Trans Am or something (some sort of a domestic, not sure)...the NSX was real, and he left as soon as the guy in the Lambo said it wasn't real...hah.

As for others : ever seen a Celica with a TypeR badge on the back? Not a sticker, a damn badge....also saw a Prelude with molded Skyline tails and heads, front and rear bumpers, and it had all the Skyline badges. Was painted jet black....look like one from the rear, but from the side and front it was totally not...

One of the funniest stories I've heard is when a regular 3 Series BMW had an M3 badge. This guy who really had a E36 M3 took his badge off and put a 328 on or something like that. Anyway, he pulled up to this ca and saw the M3 badge. Being the BMW expert he was he thought to himself "that's not an M3" A woman was driving that fake M3. He was like "nice M3" and she's like "thanks, is that a 328?" He's like "yeah, wanna race?" When they get on it, he puts quite a few carlengths on her and slows down. They catch another red light and he sees that she's all embaressed. The only thing he said was "don't put that badge on if you can't back it up" and drove off.

if you got pics, post them!!!

i was driving around a few nights ago when i saw what looked to be a skyline from the back... it had the nissan badge and the skyline gtr badge in the right place... when i passed it i realized it had the chevy grill... it was an impala... i rolled down my window and went "hey, if you're gonna impersonate another car, you might want to get rid of all the origional car's decals and badges" he revved his engine and went "it's a skyline, i threw the chevy stuff on there to confuse idiots like you"
i laughed and said "you couldn't catch me if your life depended on it, go home boy"

light goes green, he hits the gas and i do the same. When i've got about 3 car lengths on him, he turns around the opposite way.

still funny, i hope i can get a pic of it if i see it around town again.

There is a white civic in my town. Its not badged at all. What it does have though is body panels that make it look like a supra. It has side skirts, tail lights, and head lights.. from what i hear its suposed to be a really fast turbo civic. I have never seen him race so i cant back verify that. What i can say is that i see the kid all the time at school just standing around his car with a bunch of Tools(people) trying to look cool with his civic.

I lower my head and walk away laughing EVERYTIME.

The dumbest, or funniest let's say, is seeing a Nissan Altima, with an SIR badge on both front fenders (left and right), and a Type R stick under the right tail light. Ri-friggin-diculous!!! Late...

I often see Mustang GTR's (Yes, I know there are Cobra R's, but the badges i'm talking about are Skyline Badges) and Accord Type-R's. Also the occasional "dohc vtec" early-mid 80's accord.

(Civic and Integra "Type-R's" are too common, thus not worth mentioning)

Mt worst so far is a green Geo Metro, Civic type R badges, honda emblems on the hood and trunk, Fake side port exhaust tips (coming out of the door LOL!)
also had flames and a few sponsor stickers.
Used to go to my school. Looked so dumb hehe

Well I was at the drags two weekends ago and a red probe pulled in behind me with the normal gt lettering on the doors but had a r sticker about 3 inches to big right behind the gt. I started to say something about their gtr probe but I let it slide so I could get to the drift demo on time.

I'd love to see a true Skyline GT-R with an SVT Cobra or Z28 SS badge on the back. :)

While on my way to seeing my cousin in Pennsylvania I saw a red Mustang with a huge spoiler, black trim and a GTR badge on the back being pulled on a trailer. If any of you are familiar with that ant-rice series with the Trans Am driver, I think that was the "special edition" Mustang in one of the vidseos. Perhaps it was a show car, but regardless I don't see it winning many prizes, perhaps the interior could have made me think differently.:shakehead

Sorry about using rice but thats the best word I can use of what he regards imports as and what modified imports he uses as examples.

Aside from the MR2's turn Ferrari kit cars, i've seen Mustang GT-R's, Saturn Type-R's... just about everything...

I always put odd emblems on my cars just for the fun of it. For instance my Nova had a 350 in it which is very soon to be a 454 but I have "307" (stock Nova motor) badges on both fenders. It just kinda makes people think.

tonight i saw an eclipse with a NOS sticker... i went into the blockbuster and asked him if he sprayed... he went "spray what?" i pointed at his car, and he went "i don't get it" i went "NOS, do you have nos" and he went "i have nos octane" with a huge grin on his face... i peeped in his car (he wouldn't lift the hood) and saw no gauges for anything... kinda funny... putting a nos sticker on a non nos car.

Those 307 badges could come in handy with a 454 under the hood, because theres nothing better then a sleeper and using badges to fool people is just part of the gig.

Why is it that everyone seems to want gtr badges on their cars? Do they not know that someone will pick them out of a crowd and rip on them for having the badges on it? And if I saw a skyline with svt or ss badges on it I'd die on the spot from laughing so hard.

Edit: I always seem to miss one letter while posting.....

I'll should be able to afford an sr20det swap close to summer so I think the xe stickers would be funny on my car. I've seen a camaro who claimed to have a 427 with a 5.0 badge. numerous civics with Si stickers/ typeR stickers.

Ahhh, muscelcar guys are going to love these. there is an old datun Z with a Pheonix Bird and Trans AM posted all over it...we also pulled a prank on this kid with a POS old chevelle. wasnt even an SS. its a 4door for gods sake. but anyway he is always bashing imports and talking about his great american muscel will spank all thing asian no matter what mods have been done. but he will never race. he is always "lets take it to the strip" and then when you agree to go to the strip he is always "busy." last march we where feeling in the april fools spirit. so we went down to the local junk yard and got the following
Stock Honda 13" steel rims
Honda emblems (front and rear)
EX emblem

then we went to CarEX and got V-Tec Badges and 5lug to 4 lug adapters. double sided stickey tape and the glue used to glue on emblems.

while he was at baseball practice we grabbed a jack and changed all the tires to 13" honda rims (after painting them flat black of corse) glued the honda emblems to it and stick the V-Tec stickers on the side. but here is for the iceing on the cake. we built a spiler out of wood and L-Brakets and used the double sided stickey tape to stick it to the strip of metal chevy used to call a trunk opening.

ahh wish i had pics. we have a lousy sence of humor but after he got over the anger (and never finding out who did it) he later bought (with great irony) a nissan maxima.....

The funniest car I've ever seen, well, seen a picture of, was what looked like an old Plymouth Reliant with "Lamborghini Diablo" Spraypainted in black across the back end.
