Couldn`t sleep last night so I was lookin at my models thinkin (yup I think every once in a while ;) ) , I forgot what I was thinkin about but any way I did some work to my old mustang . It was just asking me to take it apart and put some better parts on her , at first I put new wheels and tires on it , then it needed to be lowerd, I had to cut the fender wells out to get the front where I wanted it so I had to make up a "mustang II front suspention(sp sorry)" . Well the engin was lookin a little sad now so I repainted it and put on a better intake carb and oil pan (the old oil pan had the hole in ti for the axle to go through).

I started on this at ~ 12:30 am and was done at ~ 6:00 am . Now I`m wishing that I had used the night for sleepin , I`m just a tad bit tired now  .

Nice!! It would look a bit cleaner without some of the sponsor stickers but it's still a great model!!:sunglasse

I painted it and put the stickers on it 2 or 3 years ago when I first buit it . It was set up like a drag racer then so the stickers fit in very nicely then but not any more . I painted it with paint brush (most of my models I paint with a brush even though I have two airbrushes :screwy: ) but this time the paint didn`t turn out all that well . I have plans on stripping repainting it later , I was thinkin a realy dark metal flake red with white stripes  .

After looking at all the testors paints at wal*mart I just almost gave up but I went over in the auto`s and found this, ford DSFM317 elec. currant red :sunglasse . Its just what I was lookin for ,not that I realy knew what I was lookin for or anything :icon16: .

I got is sanded down and ready to go , tomorrow I`ll try to get it painted :) .

I go by the most over priced paint in the store and it does this to me  .

Any tips on how to fix this prob ?

looks like you either put too much paint on, or you mixed two paints that arent suppose to be mixed, for example, I used rustoleum grey paint on a F22 model, then used model clear, and it cracked up worse then that.

Did you strip it first? Primer? I would'nt just paint over an old paint job even after sanding it.

I had a paint job do that to me when I switched brands between coats. I had to strip it completely with brake fluid (as suggested on this board) and am now working to repair it.

The brake fluid won`t mess up the model at all ?
