18x8

Can 18x8 rims with low profile tires, fit on a 2000 2.2 Cavy:confused:

they are the 2004 Corvette rims, with the same tires, i forgot to mention that, sorry

and heres proof of some 18's, although not sure on width, on a 2002 cav. They look thin enough as it is, not sure why someone would go the extra step to 19's...

personally I'm looking for some cheap 17's as 2 of my stock 14" wheel covers fell off and lost a few caps to them. They dont look so good as it is anyways and steering is not as crisp as I would like it.

I dont think so.

I think 04 Vette wheels are 5x120.7 (or something very similar), and our cars are 5x100.

so it would probably be better to go with 17's rather than 18's is what most people say

17's are better for cornering than 18's..

You can get 20's on a Cav with some tucking.

I would like to know how you think so......

the rim gets bigger yes, but the overall out-side tire size its self stays the same if you get the approate size of 225/40-18... or 225/45-17... think of it as this... do you see peformance vechicles running thin tires? Look a corvette... they are freakin huge and are 18x8... they corner just nicely if you ask me.... what about a BMW .... my point is made... if anything 17's tend to be lighter, but so can 18's if you search for feather lights.


Futher more...Look at the AF Nissan 350Z vechicle... its running 18's...

I think what i'll do is go and put those 18x8's on and see how they feel and corner and if any rubbing is going on. Then i'll try on the 17's i was looking at, and check those out and compare. I'm not going to be taking corners at like 40 mph, let alone 30 i guess. I wanted to know from people that have had different size whells on a cavalier.

well my 18"s help a ton on cornering but never driven a cav with 17s... but i know i was told 18x7.5 would be the best way to go for handle...

My Cavy has stock 14" whells, with hubcaps. i've never driving a cavy with anything bigger either. but i'll try them out and see what i like the best
