but also is there a site that would outline problems like how would you know what a certian problem is?? or do you just learn that through experience and asking people that are on here and know about the problems?

well there can be loads of problems just liek any car.

More common ones are blown apex seals, symproms, lack of power, LOTS of turbo lag, seems to run on only 1 rotor.
Blown coolant seals, white smoke on start up.

Some common problems with RX7's is that there cooling systems were just big enough to handle normal driving, once you get on the car hard they tend to overheat, so upgrading the cooling system is a good idea.
Also, upgrading the water temp guage, boost guage.

To learn more, go to www.rx7club.com www.nopistons,com. Just search for reliability mods.

There is not a hole lot that can go wrong with a rotory engine, there very simple in deisgn.

do people tend to fix the problems themselves or get professionals to fix em?

Some people fix it themselves, but most send them to shops. Its not wuite liek fixing your common car.

Rotory engines are very special. Think of them like having a beautiful and needy gf, but dumb as a door knob.

They tkae all your money, pop on you at the worst times, never let you knwo when they are abotu to blow, but in the end it all seems worht it because, DAM shes hot.
