The Middle East

Is it just me, or does it seem like a good portion of the worlds problems originate in the Middle East? It's like 6 degrees of seperation from the Middles East.

And, every time I look at the news, some more people are blowing themselves up or getting blow up over there.

I'm tired of the whole thing. I dont even read the stories anymore.

Sorry to rant, but I've just had it up to here.

im not trying to justify it by any means, but, when you have nothing and things are taken from you, you try your hardest to get them back in anyway you can.


personally i think religious wars are created by a select few oxy morons. i mean come on your religion talk aboue peace so you fight a war to obtain peace. see anything worng there? just let them go, they will either kill themselves or realize what assholes they've been and work things out.

if thier religion wasnt so intertwined in thier society they could use england as a perfect model to seperate church and state. see what happened there? no more holy wars.

On the topic... Yes, that whole area is seriously fucked up. No doubt about it. War is stupid. The part I hate the most is that both sides are raising a whole new generation of kids to carry on their hatred and fight their stupid feud.

But if I must take sides, I'm with the Palestinians.

I think that every one over there has more then reason to be up in arms. The Gaza Strip was taken and not returned for a VERY LONG TIME! The United States DID blow up hundreds of Afgan civilians. The reason things like this go on for so long, ie. the war in Bearute (sp) is because of a lack of strong political leadership. Well, there are several reasons but in my mind this is a major one that could be solved.

I sympathise greatly with the Arab people but the killing of thier people will only stop when thier killing of our people stops

yeah but trying to be the tuff guy and waiting for the other guy to flinch first isnt gonna work. this ones gonna have to find the bigger man who will realize that stepping down is the only way, not stepping down because of losing or fear. it s very childish, almost reminds me toddlers fighting in the school yard, only thing is kids get over it, adults are to stubborn and carry it to thier graves.

well I know which side is a hell of a lot more beneficial to me. global commerce or religious fundamentalism.. hmm

other than oil, the entire region(save for Israel) hasn't been pulling its weight in the course of man's progress for the past few centuries. Now there's finally somebody trying to develop the region and they get attacked for it. Don't you just hate sore losers?

Nothing will ever be solved in the Middle East. At least not for a while. Reason being: Political Instability. Its easy to see that nobody runs these people. They have nothing to look forward to but bombings, murders, grass, and violence. They have no possisions (sp). I bet a majority of them do not even care to know, let alone for sure know, what they are fighting for. Israilies this, Palestians that. Pointing fingers will only get make these times worse, if at all possible. Sure, you can argue about rights and who took what first, but now its just getting into Humanity. Frankly, it sadens just a bit more everyday...
