my buddy wanted to go for a ride in my car because he has never seen it so when i took him for a ride he wanted to see how fast it was so I punched it till about 70 then let off and then I threw it into neutral it died and kept dying when I would punch it but then when it was warmed up it seemed fine. Do you think that my problem is that it just needed to warm up or is it something more? Its supercharged so Im wondering if it may be something to do with the idol? If anyone can help me it would be great

your not supposed to run your engine hard until it is heated up, this could cause serious problems to your engine!!

dumass.

first of all, your car will not perform anywhere nears its potential when its cold. consider this: the oil is not warm and hasn't expanded, therefore you won't have enough pressure to engage VTEC. also, to protect the engine, the ECU will radically lower your rev limiter. did you know that most of the time, the pistons will expand faster than the engine block, and you could completely f*** your engine up

I don't know about you guys, but my VTEC doesn't work when my engine temperature gauge hasn't reached at least one increment past bare bottom.

I've never even tried to hit VTEC unless my gauge is at the half way point.

dude, its got nothing to do with having a supercharged car, your not supposed to hammer on a car unless its heated up... oil temp ... not a smart move unless you are trying to blow your engine
