How easy of an install is this?? and where is the cheapest place i could find one besides ebay becuase i have been ripped off too many times.

should be an easy install. hardest part will be making sure your shiter is aligned right. somewhere on here somebody did a writeup one the easiest way to set it. i cant help you on a 2g.
you can get your stock one shortened if you know someone good with a torch. as for finding one check your local car places and if they dont have it see if they can special order one for you.

Ebay would be the cheapest, otherwise search google for random stores.

Try searching Vfaq.com . just look under DSM and then tips for shifters. They explain how to shorten the stock shifter if you have the right tools and it'll save you a couple bucks :)

i bought a cheapy short throw shifter off ebay for my 96 gs. Took about 30 minutes to install. Fit right in and has worked great since. Have gone probally 5k miles with it installed with no problems.

i put mine in myself in about an hour taking my time.
it is a great mod, but it is 100% better with the metal bushings ;)
