My first build post at AF--I finished this one a while back, but I'm just now getting some free time for the hobby (and my first digicam), so I figured I'd give you a glimpse of some of my work. I wanted to spice up a stock Viper a bit, without the effort of an all-out racing version. The only major problem I had was with mating the Aoshima rims to the R-M uprights, but it's only my second model with replaced wheels. Hey, does anyone else have trouble finding wide rear tires for high-performance rear-drive vehicles, or is it just me?

Well, I've got some work to do on my model photography, but I'm pleased with my first try. Maybe later I could shoot my 360 Modena (perhaps an overdone subject, but I still love the car--and my model of it). Enjoy.

Nice work!

For widening the rear wheels , try this method:

Very clean build! I like the yellow seats in there. Nice idea. So, show us that Modena :naughty:

Thanks for your replies! Whenever I've got time from homework, I'll shoot and post my 360.

GvEman--yeah, this is the Revell-Monogram kit, and the spare tire is molded into the interior. I was going to make a cover for it, but it was one of those things which I didn't think about again until it was too late. :banghead:

Thx for the suggestions for beefing up the rear tires--on my Viper, I just swapped out the rear tires for a pair from a Revell F50.

This is just awesome...From the Paint job to the rims. You made an average quality kit into a million bucks.
