Can i fit a 351c into a ranger???

ive been told many varying views on this and i was just wondering if it was possible

it is possible but you have to get a taller hood for the intake to fit and you have to trim the firewall back and the front fenders
and the ford dealership told me that depending on the model ranger you have you may even have to find an inventive way to put a radiator in it so you can keep it cool.

Try a 302...They seem to work well with rangers

Dude thast bogus. You can easilt drop a 351 in. You'll need shorter than average motor mounts, (kauffmans has a sweet set) and with any ranger swap your gonna have to do a custom radiator setup.

Give me a holler if you want the info.. I've done 3 swaps so far. 302, 347(stroked), and a 460.

351 will fit without an issue. Cooling does seem to be a problem, however with any V8. I have yet to talk to someone in person who hasn't had issues with their V8 Rangers.

yeah, getting a small body lift really helps with the clearance issuses and lessens banging on the firewall...
