I've decided to drop all my current projects and put all efforts into semi-scratch building the Spoon S2000 Race Car. Here is a picture of the body with all badge guide lines, gas tank doors..etc removed or filled in with putty. Also Spoon front lip added with epoxy putty.

Should be an interesting one! Will the paint job be like the Gran Turismo 3 car? What wheels will you use?
Tell us more?

Hopefully it'll look like this when its finish:p

The wheels will be Work Emotion CR mod from the Mugen MF-10 that came with the model. Click here to see the wheel (http://www.work-wheels.co.jp/wheels/index/)
The body is all prepared...should I prime it? its going to be a race car, is it really nesseary?
Forgot one thing....White sponsers stickers!!! What to do?!?!?!? There's no way I can find something that prints white!! Any ideas?

Excellent choice of wheels.
Yes...prime the body. Doesn't matter if its a passenger or race car, they all need to be primmed.
Not sure on the stickers. What about computer cut ones?
I've had the odd one done and they dont turn out to bad. Can look a bit thick though.

White sponsers stickers!!! What to do?!?!?!?
A tricky one! i would suggest gettting a white decal sheet and cut out each letter by hand - a tough job!!! maybe u could print out the lettering in reverse on the back of the sheet to give u the guide???
Failing that my other suggestion would be to see if a high street printers could print the white letters onto a clear decal sheet.

Um....question, if I spray on 1, 2 coat of dark blue and then 1 or 2 coat of light blue, would the end result be a midmun blue?
OR am I better off using a white primer with the dark blue and hope it'll be a lighter shade

You're better off getting a can of paint of the exact colour you need

That attitude will never work in modelling! Either do it right or not at all!
Any skimping will show, so you need to decide if you really want to do that race S2000 or just a road car! If you haven't got the right paint, go for the latter!

I agree, dont do things by halves when it comes to modeling. If your going to make the effort do it properly and do it right especially when it comes to the car body - you wont be satisfied otherwise!

Micromark (www.micromark.com) sells printable decal sheets, but they're quite expensive!
Right now their site appears to be SNAFU (situation normal all fouled up) but when they are back up look udner HARD TO FIND ITEMS or do a search.
Hope this helps :)

Actually, an ALPS printer will print white, along with silver, gold, and
other metallic colors. Surely, someone on this forum
has one. The model mailing list that I was on had about 5-10 ppl who
had one and would print decals very cheap.

From what I've read, a model 1000 and up will do.
Ebay is the way to go since (as far as I know) they
have stopped selling the alps printers, at least here
in the US.
I'm actually bidding on one on ebay right now.
