My college is 45 miles away. My options were either live in a dorm or get my car. It really wasn't much of a question for me.

Yea, the place im getting my AA from is 25 miles away. Maybe I should have spread the options out more, I was thinking most people live pretty close to work/school.

well, it depends on what day. on the weekday I drive 50+ (work is 25 mi one way) and then if I go to my class, that's another 5 mi, then if I have to run down to Irvine, that's another 63 miles one way, then if I have to drive to Santa Clarita, that's a good 40 miles from my house..... I put over 400 miles on my car a week

Here we go, my job is 50 miles from my house, then I drive to school which is about 45 miles from work, then its a 65 mile drive from school to home. Yep, 160 miles a day.

I used to drive a lot more than I do now (since I'm not able to drive to school here in NC), but I've still been rackin' up the miles taking a 30-40 mile roundtrip drive when I'm having a crappy day (twice this week already), and going to random places for the 'rents when they need something.

Gotta take care of it, its making a ~650 mile (and that's just one way, I have to come back a week later) trip in April.

I drive my car from Tucson to LA all the time. That's about 800 - 900 miles round trip, but I love to drive.

isolated trips is one thing, but everyday 160 miles would piss me off...

lets see... home to school is about 3.5 miles, so 7 miles, school to lunch might be 1 mile, so 9 miles,
home to the theater is about 15 miles, so 39 miles. Today I got lost on the way to the theater 'cause I tried to use a shortcut, and ended up driving about 70 miles extra. As soon as I meandered through the westhills and descended into the back of downtown portland, I knew I wasn't in the right spot. I then had to find my way back up to and drive through the OHSU campus (overlooks downtown), getting plenty of funny looks on the way. Eventually I found the main drag and ended up in the spot that I was 45 mins. ealier, and went left instead of right. About a mile down that road I randomly spotted signs for the crossroads for where I wanted to be, wasn't that lucky... :loser: Never try to remember a shortcut from just your sense of direction...

Well my commute is horrible too. I think my bedroom to my home office its about 10 steps. But my business front is about a mile from my house but I work from home most days.

Ec437 do you still have a BMW>? I only ask because I currently own a Z3 also and love the Avatar
