I went to the MSP vehicle tests in September and saw both the Hemi and V6 Magnum run. Once they get some of the lingering bugs worked out, it's going to be a formidable package and a viable threat to the Crown Vic's dominance in the field. The Hemi blew by us at 143 mph [on the rev limiter] at the Chelsea proving grounds, and they say the V6 should match the 135 mph top end of the Intrepid.

I'd hate to see that in my rearview mirror. Currently around where I live cops drive Chevy Impalas and Crown Vics. But these are much faster. 143 top speed, good luck outrunning that.

I don't think that there will be another standard car like the crown vic. Police departments don't like them much anymore after they found out that the cars have a tendency to blow up when rear-ended. A lot of departments will probably continue using the Itrepids, though they don't make them anymore, some will Still use the crown vics, others will go for suvs like the Ford Explorer

there are lambo gallardo in italy as cop cars, on some show the driver said people actually start speeding like crazy so that they would get pulled over, i know i would! thats bad though the car provokes people to speed, it should be like special interceptor, that would be f*cking scary to see that thing in your rear view mirror!! ohh and also saw a skyline r34 in japan in some magazine, wow scary just to think about it... Anyways that hemi is prolly nice, wonder what do they do if a magnum is running away?

And I believe I've seen the Magnum cops car...it's ugly as hell...

I've gotta say the biggest suprise I've ever had is pulling up next to a corvette and realising that the stripes on it were because it was a cop car
