Mystery Fuel Problem?

I have a 1993 chevy cavalier, Auto, 202,000 miles. Over the last few months I have noticed a problem with the way the car drives at highway speeds. Once highway speeds are reached and I let off on the gas to maintain the speed the car seems to randomly jerk (slight) or maybe miss. If I completely let off on the gas it stops and it does not occur while accelerating. It seems to occur mostly after the car has reached normal operating temperatures. I have replaced the fuel filter and spark plugs. I am wondering if this could be clogged fuel injectors or something else. Can anyone help?

I would check the injectors or maybe one of your coils is misfiring. Is it repetitive like it happens every engine cycle or just once in a while randomly? You know...having 202,000 miles...youre engine may be trying to kill itself...put itself out of its misery...shit I would! Im surprised its even running!

Its more random and only occurs when I am barely applying pressure to the gas pedal at speeds over 45. Mostly after it has reached normal operating temperature.

As for having 202,000 miles I expect little things to start going since most of the parts are original. I have had to do very little work to this car in its lifetime.

Check you coil towers for any discoloration on the posts

The first thing to check is the TCC solenoid. Under the air filter look on the front of the tranny. You will see an electrical plug. Unplug this and test drive. This is a common problem on GM cars with high miles. You may leave it unplugged if this is the problem. Repairs=$35 for parts+about 2 hours labor.
