Bigger Amp?

Yo I got this 10' Audiobahn sub that has 400 RMS. Now I want to know is if I need a bigger amp. Right now I have this amp: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18796&item=5725508224&rd=1

And I want to know if I need a bigger one. I just have it bridged to one sub. That's the only thing I have hooked up to it. So do you think I need a bigger amp or am I straight? Thanks for the feedback.

P.S. I'm thinkin about getting some speakers, being that I got a sub. Should I just get some front speakers or just leave them or what? Thanks once again.

I'm no audio pro but your max on your amp is what your rms is on your sub so yeah you could use a bigger one you can get an audiobahn amp on ebay for fairly cheap. does your amp ever cut out or anything? I had some s subs once and i ran them off of a 500 boss. the amp worked good on some cheaper subs but on the better ones it would cut out and heat up pretty good.

you could run a couple of your 10's off of this one but it's the cheapest one i saw on ebay thats audiobahn

Word, that Audiobahn amp is a good price, but I wonder if I can get one for cheaper if I don't need 800 watts x 1. All I need is 500 at the most. So thanks for the idea.

I would say that that amp is capable of pushing that sub with no problems. But its always nice to have bigger and better.

as long as you aren't getting distortion and your amp isn't cutting out, your fine. I was running two Audiobahn SVC subs that had a rating of 500 watts RMS with this amp http://www.thezeb.com/p-Audiobahn-A3201T-2-Channel-Amplifier-100113.htm. The amp was bridged, but I had the speakers wired in series because I only had one speaker terminal when I built the box. Didn't want to feed it a two ohm load and fry the amp or subs.

And it sounded fine. Audiobahn isn't exactly known for SQ so I didn't mind that it wasn't musically that great sounding, but it sure as hell hit hard.

Do not buy two/three way speakers. Save your money and buy a set of decent components. You will like the sound alot better. And this way you can have high end sound that will keep up with your subs. Sounds great bumpin "Cali Love"

Should I replace my front speakers with components and leave the rears in, because I've never seen components in the back. Oh and what brands have some good component sets for good prices.

you can get sets on ebay for pretty cheap if you dont think your sub is hitting hard enough for your liking. i found 2 12s and a 1000watts 2 channel amp for $230 and 2 15s w/ a 1500 watt 2 channel amp for $260
and 2 10s and a 800 watts amp for $180. All of which were audibahn you just need to build a box or go buy one...the 15s were the only ones that came in a box already. To me the best sounding subs are 12s but its basically preferences and what you can afford. i have had 2 planetaudio 12s and a 800 watt amp and it sounded good as hell but i sold the sub...kept the amp and now have 1 mtx bridged on that 800 watt and it sounds even better to me.

ive got a 93 prelude and i put 6.5 xplode in the back and front and it sounds really good.

pretty much depends on how thick your wallet is
