i picked my car up with 84,000 on the odometer. and i beleive whoever had it before me put a high performance clutch in it. i used to have to put the pedal all the way to the floor for the clutch to engage fully, and it was stiffer than a stock clutch. now, there is some play in the pedal, from no pedal to the point where you find pedal it travels atleast an inch. and now it engages at about half pedal then goes to the floor. is this the clutch the slave cylinder...or just need adjusting??? if you need clarification i'll do my best

It sounds like you're in need of new master/slave cylinders. When mine went out, at first there was just a little more play in the pedal, and then it got really bad, to where I pushed the clutch to the floor to engage it, and it caught about an inch off the floor.

try flushing the hydraulic system first

Well, is it having trouble grabbing? If not, it probably just needs adjusting. I adjusted mine so it engages about an inch off the ground. I like to only have to lift my foot a little to have it engage. It was about halfway before, but with a heavy duty pressure plate, it was hard to get smooth engages when your foot is off the floor. If you need to instuctions on how to adjust it, ill post them out of my Helms manual.
