Bought the car from my company, old executive left it in the parking lot. I talked the finance guy into giving it to me for 7 payments of $50.00, because it wouldn't pass emmissions and they were tired of it sitting there.
We spent $1,200 dollars for tune up and water pump, odds and ends (and the tow bill). Now it runs like a top! Looks great- every option, including 12 CD changer Bose system.
So is this the deal of the century or what? Should I send it back because the heater in the drivers seat is not working ;)?
I am new here, would like to hear any other stories of great deals on Auroras.

Hey, thanks for the welcome!
Yeah, it passed with flying colors--its been an interesting car to have. My four boys each think their going to get to drive it someday, ha ha!

I'm sure you could get that seat heater fixed for fairly cheap...then she'll really be a nice car!

When I got together with my girlfriend she was driving a '97 Taurus and that just doesn't work for me. After a couple years (and a transmission) I sold it (cheap). Didn't please her. I had been hunting for months and it took another 4 months after sale before we found an Aurora we could afford. Been on ebay, papers, etc from Nebraska to Ohio and then found one in hometown for $3500. 140K miles, everything but CD changer, and everything worked. Now her and my dream car are attached at the hip and I never get to drive it. Sit at 152K miles now, bought in February this year. TLC-mileage is up 2mpg, cost spark plugs, thermostat, new pipes from the 'y' to tips for some noise, new 17's and Falken tires, and a blow gun to the EGR valve, that's it.
