Question about Prelude

90PreludeSI

I am driving a 90 Prelude Si, but the mileage is too high that I think soon I will have to replace it. but I don't want to use the same model of engine. So can I replace it with other engines which are more powerful than the stock motor? For example, the engine of the 95 prelude or other models?
Thanks a lot

It already has an H22 in it (or it should, unless the older preludes used different motors) so if you upgrade to a newer engines the only step ups you can easily do are H22 V-tech heads, H24, H24 V-tec Heads, H22 built race motor and or FI.

a '90SI does not have an H22, it has a B20A

you can upgrade to a B20B which is pretty cheap, or to an H22 or H23, which is more expensive and difficult but more powerful

a B-series block would probably be easyest then. you may need to pay a visit to the JDM world :disappoin .

go to http://www.japandomesticmotor.com they have most engines there, you can get a H22B for $4000 or a H22A for $2000
