Man, i don't know about you guys, but i HATE winter. Especially the fact that i live in an apt complex where the landlord has NO ONE plow the lot for all the cars, we have to shovel our way out. Another thing is the way it ***** with cars, that road sand scratches the clear coat bad. I'm probably the only one here also that washes my car in the winter, well maybe some of yall do-and KNOW what a pain that is.. LOL, i have to wear my robbers sky mask w/colombia coat and gloves.
Don't even get me started on the fact that armor all on the tires get wiped off from all that crap (snow..snow..snow) on the ground..

Use Zymol wax before winter. Lasts six months and looks like a freshly waxed car after you wash it again. Worth 13 bucks a bottle.

Thanks for the tip..
I used NuFinish a month ago, followed the directions and put the second coat a little bit later-everytime i wash my car it looks like the day i stripped off the nufinish-it looks like glass. What also helps is i use Meguires (sp..??) soap called Crystal something.. It's this pink stuff-it's killer.
BTW.. anyone wanna use nufinish-DO NOT get it on any plastic/rubber trim-especially black rubber trim, it's so hard to get off.

The worst is those winter nights-like after a couple days of snow, you think the highway is completly clear, but then you hit that black ice.... This being very bad with RWD cars, ever lose the ass of the car and feel it start to break loose..?? Over-correction will set you spinning. Thats why i ONLY drive in the middle lane in those conditions. You just cannot see that thin coating near the shoulders of the road.

I LOVE winter. We actually get some rain here in LA. It washes away the smog and you can actually see downtown LA and mountains and stuff. That and I hate heat. Come to think of it, I should move to Ireland. :frown:

I already put 5 HEAVY coats of wax on the under body and rims... with in the past week. I put one HEAVY coat on the body. Just 9 more on the body and time to do mom's car. Oh I wash it nearly three times a week due to the fact i pull jetskis out of the water for people. I have made the money to pay for the stuff. I also ship them to people's houses. So far I have made close to 500 dollars. Which was spent on the timing belt and materials to pay for the winter prep. My cousin also buys fixes and sells. I get a cut since I trailer them all over the place. I do tow with the camry. Its actually a pretty good puller. His 2DR tahoe pulls like crap and its got the 350 in it.

T.C's tires are bald as all hell right now.....she really needs new running shoes.....during the winter i usually take her to one of those DIY carwashes to hose her down, wax her up, and clean her out.....what i really hate is not just black ice, but when they don't plow the roads yet, so when you try to make a turn in an FF, your wheels are cut, but you're still sliding straight in a slushy mess.....fun times to whip the tail-end around in your turns:rolleyes:

...why I love having a truck in New England.

Well it was a 4X4. Its a short wheelbase boxy truck ofcourse its going to have sway problems. My front tires are getting low. I just dont like having a car where Fullsize SUVs are the main type of wheels around here. People are too stupid about how they drive them around here and I am pretty certain that its the sameway other places.

Bring on the snow. It seems to move the ones who can't drive onto the shoulder and leave the road open to us that can.

I leanred to drive in ohio winters, then spent 4 years in Montana. give me anything with wheels and I can drive it through snow. if I could sit in a Peacekeeper, and drive it through damn near blizzard conditions, I can drive anything!!! :)

I love the winter. All it does is rain here, snow is very rare. Nothing like drifting on wet pavement.
