ac/heater control

i have a 01 dakota and i cannot get anything out of the vents or defrost. i hear the fan going in all positions but it just won't change where it is blowing. i put in on ac and hear the compressor kick in but nothing blows, which blows. its snowing where i live now and no heat is getting to me

I have same problem with my 00 Dakota and would like to know if you have resolved yours. Dealer gave me a couple of scenarios which sounded very costly. He was to contact other dealers thru forums etc to see if this problem has occcured before. I have not heard from his yet.
