i have an 87 v6 camero. my stero went out when i was down town and for a second i thought my car stopped running so when i got home i had my dad and brother look at it. i found out that my wippers nor my headlights were working. my dad thought it may be the light switch (WHICH IS NOT ON THE STERING WHEEL) so i bought a new one, then found out it was not that. so he looked at the fuses but none of them were bad so the next thing we thought was maybe it was a relay switdch which it wasn't so can anyone tell me what may be wrong with my baby??

I just couldn't see it not being a fuse or relay...possible ground connection.

does your dad or bro, or yourself, have a test light??? have you tested the circuit back down the instrument panel? i would test for power to the circuit, when you find the point that has power on one side, and no power on the other, youve found the problem.

welcome to the forum Camaro chic

Really sounds like a blown fuse.. Ide double check your power acc. fuses.. And than, as 89Iroc mentioned, use a test light to test for power at both sides of all the fuse terminals.. There should be power to one side of the fuse terminal..

What are you running for a stereo? factory? Do you have subs/amps hooked up?

check fusible links on both sides of links. pulling on them isn't the way to test them
