After the meet up spot last night, i am gonna turn my crx sitting in my side yard collecting dust into what we are calling th "puerto rican killa". A couple of thes guys were doing burnouts and doughnuts two feet away from car so when they ran their mouths off how fast they are, i had a new mission.
Okay, here is what i got. 88 crx dx model automatic. the trans case is cracked, the engine had its oil pan removed, 2 years ago.
The plan, at work i pulled a d16y8 out of a 98 civic ex due to bad rod bearings. I already ordered and the rod and crank bearings and have inspected the engine, evrything is within specs. i have a second engine that is blown, pistons have a hole in them, so that is a full rebuild. I am gonna convert over from auto to manual. And the killa part, turbo. This gonna be the weekend killer, very rarley driven.
What i need from ya'll is some advice. Any links on the swap, parts needed, i was looking for the homemade turbo kit site, but can't seem to find it. Yes, no, i am really big dumb ass?
For ya'lls information, i am a certified honda tech with a really, i mean really good, discount on oem parts. I am also really known at the scarpyards :icon16: . I really need this car to killing some riced out hondas who think they are fast. Please, help me help the crx world.
By the way, any of ya'll coming down to orlando for the crx meet? Sorry for the long post. :banghead:

I checked out that site about the Budget Boost and it list parts for an Eclipse, which i know nothing about. Can anyone detail what model/year those parts would come from?

For the blow off valve get a 1st gen eclipse/talon ('90-'94), it will hold up to 20psi. With the intercooler, the one on that site was a side mount intercooler. If you're cool using a side mount you might want to check into a Mitsubishi Starion/Dodge Conquest one, I've seen them on e-bay for $60-85. Personally I'd spend the $ and get a front mount, it will get a lot more air by being in the front direct in the air path.

I found an intercooler on some type of car in the junkyard (sitting in the front seat), it was in pretty good condition too. Id much rather have a front mount though.

What car could I swipe a fron mount? Or do I just have to buy one?
Also, gotta pic of what the 1st gen looks like?
Thanks

You can buy a front mount fairly cheap: http://www.johnnyracecar.com/ (read great things about them)
