Hi

I have a 2000 elantra that has 84,000 miles, 5 weeks ago the rear left side lock quit working, it makes a horrible grinding sound when it works, and when it does not it is hard to lock manually, then 3 weeks ago the passenger side window quit working, then 1 week ago the rear window, (behind passenger side) quit. what is going on with this car?! has anyone had so many problems with this stuff, or did I just get a lemon? :banghead:

your lock problem is most likely the lock solenoid motor. I have not worked on hyundai's in the past, but it is a common symptom with auto door locks... relatively easy DIY repair. you might want to pull the door panel and lube the latch with some good penetrting oil.
