My friend wants to sell me a intercooler piping kit that is flanged for a greddy type s bov, i have a 1g bov and im wondering if i can make the flange work in one way or another. I am short on cash and he is selling it cheap so i want to make it work any way possible, any info is appreciated.

Well, the bolt holes on the Type S are more narrow than those of the 1g bov. You'll have to see fi the 1g bov bolt holes are too wide for the Type S flange. If not, I suppose you could drill new holes if you have a drill bit that will tap metal. You could always pick up a Dave Brode UICP which is already flanged for the 1g bov....or you could just get a Type S bov and be loud ;).

The most common way is to drill and tap a pair of 1/4-20 holes in the BOV itself. But you have to be very careful to leave enough room to get a gasket to seal. I've done this before, and its hardly worth the effort ;) It would make more sense to have an exhaust shop chop off the S flange and weld on a 1g flange, RRE sells them.
