i just did mine today. since the old one was messed up i pounded it out with a hammer. i pressed the new one in, in a bench vice . i just used a piece of pipe to not mess threads up (hard to explain) but i wouldnt recommend pounding it in.

ok i am guessing you got TRW ball joints they are good. i now you work at CT but i don't think the have a ball joint press, but i know for a FACT that Partsouces have them for free rent just a deposit. if you can get the press you can do it right on the car

You have to take the whole steering knuckle out. Check here (http://www.binghamtonlife.com/manual/2gsm/suspension.htm)

Also most garages will do the press work for you for a reasonable price ($20 USD in my case). GL
