I've replaced the fuel pump in my 97 sierra two times with in the last year .
I,ve replaced the pump , and fuel strainer .
I ordered a new fuel sending assy. and when it gets here I'll be repacing the fuel pump again .
Keep losing pressure , any thing else I should look at ??
Also have replaced the fuel filter.
Should I look at the fuel regulator? ( where is it on a 5.0 ? )

make sure you clean out the fuel tank thoroughly and check for rust or contamination. I had a Caddy that would just quit, driving down the road! After replacing the fuel pump, filter, rebuilt carb, and ignition control module, I found that the tank had alot of crap in it that was getting sucked up onto the inlet strainer!

Just Replaced Mine Again I'm Looking At Either Changing Injectors Or Get Them Cleaned As There Are Screens In Them That I Think Are Restricted Inj Are Making A Clicking Noise.
Dealer Advised Me Not To Run Tank Down To Empty As Pump Is Designed To Use Fuel To Cool It Keep Tank At 1/4 To Insure Fuel Is Covering Pump So It Won't Burn Up Smart Design Duh!!!!
I Had Regulator And Everything Esle Checked Out All Was Ok, Parts Man Said Common Problem So Were Not Alone. Ron
