:banghead: I have a 1993 mirage es coupe with a 1.5 for some reason it decided to start not wanting to run when its cold i have to hold the pedal down a bit till it is "warmed" up and then it will idle ok. This also seems to have caused a problem with completely stalling out. It has only done the stalling out once. I need to know if it is possible the TPS ( throtle position sensor) is going bad or maybe needs to be adjusted. Thanks for any information that would help. :screwy:

I have a 92 Mirage 1.5 and i just joined the website. I am a mechanic for a living and know enough about these mirages. Ive had my 92 hatchback for 185k miles. The Cold start problems mainly persist of O2 Sensors. Also these little 1.5's get so many miles on them and the rings go bad it is common for a little gas to get by and gas foul ur plugs. Just a few pointers.

1991 Mirage 1.5L 160,000 mile won't start if temp is below 30 degrees F.
Bought it 3 monthes ago started every day till the first below 30 day. tried to sarted every day for a week nothing. First above 30 day started right up. Plugs are damp/wet and the engine cranks over like normal.
Have changed plugs, wires and rotor.

Car when runs has a slight lope to the idle but I am told this is normal for this car.

Any suggestions? Is the a sensor in the MPI that would shut the spark off at this temp.?

Thanks,
Jon
