ok, so heres what i have done....
replaced intake gskts, and tensioner, wires, and plugs... not to mention the seized ignition cyl as well.
We have put #1 cyl to TDC and arranged teh firing order to start from there. we have power (inj's are firing, we can see it) But no bang in the cyl. We pulled #1 plug and grounded it, and it seems like there is not enough spark there to really ignite the fuel.... very dim.. so i'm wondering if there is any other thing that i have missed ???
couldanyone please help, truck has been dead in drive way for 2 weeks now. we have crank but no spark really....
background....
belt burnt off 2 wks ago while driving.... all pulleys turned fine.
put new belt on, continued driving, second belt belw, tensioner seized, engine over heated, and ignition cyl would not turn off. funny how things are all crapping on me at once. So i did the intake cause it has been leaking for a long time, and didi the cylinder, so we could at least crank it. btu now there is not enough spark to ingite. PLEASE HELP!!!!

PAPER TOWEL TR$CK
Do you have the motor on the compression stroke or the exhaust stroke?,
If it is on the exhaust stroke that will cause your truck to have a low spark. Should fire up but would be spitting gas out the TBI and you DO NOT want that. Trust me. Best thing to do to get your 305 off the exhaust stroke is
1. Disconnect your ignition coil
2. Take off your number one spark plug in the very front on the drivers side and put in a piece of paper towel nice and tight but make sure it is sticking out, don't put it in all the way.
3. Jump in the truck and turn her over, as soon as your here the paper towel blow out you know 100% sure you are on the compression stroke.
Hope this helps your situation
