I'm in the Air Force, stationed in Japan & am wanting to build a '70-'72 Buick Skylark when I return. My question is how much interchanges with a Chevelle (or Cutlass, Lemans) of the same year? I want to do a restomod and swap in an LS1 out of a '98+ Z28. I've always preferred the Skylark body to the other A-Body GM's (sorry guys!). I know the LS1 has been swapped into Chevelles, as well as first-gen Camaros & ASSUME the swap parts for a Chevelle would also work in other A-Bodies...I know brakes & suspension interchange, as well as most major interior pieces. The old motor mounts would have to come out anyways so the K-members SHOULD be the same, but I don't know...Anyone have any info? I've been searching on Google, but haven't come up with very much yet, weird.

It's not a problem to drop a big block chev in a Buick.
