Well, ic an't say I totally agree with that, the name you gave it was misleading. I read sometihng a while ago stating that Porsche was planning a new V-8 driven 4 seat sports coupe replacemtn for the 928. They didn't say anymore, but it may be called the 998 and be a 2005, 2006 model. I'd liek to see it, but it is a risk, bringing back a 928 series car coudl be done two ways, right or wrong.

Well the 928 (that one 79-95) is really nice IMO , but i belive crazayjay is reffering to some thing based on VW/audi platform , but i didn't see it anywhere else so i don't belive it... It could have been even worse than the cayenne if it was true...

bringing back a 928 series car coudl be done two ways, right or wrong.

i think that applies to making pretty much any car, but i know what you mean by saying its risky... still, porsche could and should pull it off if they decide to go for it

Hmmm. Well with Tom's input, it gets me thinking, it would sound very worng if Porsche combined a VW platform, I knwo the parts for Audi and VW are currently interchangeable (A 911 Turbo Beetle, for instance is quite possible) but if they started goign for the whole GM thing I would excommunictae myself with Porsche, I think as long as they don't make too many SUVs, they be well-respected by me still.

i agree with that, although i have already lost some admiration/respect, whatever you want to call it, for Porsche, with the upcoming introduction of the Cayenne. Porsche can't make anything "below" the Boxster, thats for sure.

I agree, that would total their image. It may boost youth popularity, but it would not be good for the general Porsche tradition.

I can't wait for the Carrera GT though!
