Here is my question does anyone know if there is a law in the state of Texas concerning vehicles becoming "public property " after a period of time?

I've never lived in TX, but in PA, LA, CA, IN, IL, MT, MS, and NY they all have provisions for this. In PA, after a certain amount of time, you go to a court of common pleas and get a court order that says its yours. My guess is that TX has similar laws.

The best condensed resource for this is probably AAA. They have the state vehicle code there and poeple who are experienced in reading it.
