Well guys i am running out of options.
Well i bought my 86 lude si and about 2 weeks later the fuel pump started making a loud humming noise so i changed the pump and the fuel filter and all was good..well 2 1/2 week later the noise is back.
so i just left it. and now about 2 months later..
I can start my car fine , and everything runs great until the car heats up, Then after i stop at a light and need to acelerate, the car feels almost like the engine just stops, but the car doesnt stall ( happened once) and the car also wont accelerate , then all of a sudden it will kick in for a couple feet and then kick back out again ... happens in mostly 1st and 2nd gear sometimes in 3rd. It is worse going up hills and also if i let the car cool down for 5 minutes , it will run great until it heats up again .
Any input would be great !!!!
Here's an update , after reading this guys issue ( which appears to be the same as mine) Would a Fuel pressure regulator make sense as a feasable problem ?

Have you let the car get near empty on gas before this happens?
