Hey all;
My bro is getting new tires and shocks for his 95 buick Century. Are these good prices for what he's getting. All prices from Pep-Boys:
Futurra (?) tires - 35000 treadware warranty - $111.96
Mounting - $0
Balance - $39
Align - $69
Warranty - $20
Total - $265.87
Good? Good tires?
Now shocks:
Monroe (?) front shocks
Parts and Labor - $160
Is this good too? Thanks.

Manny, Moe and Jack are as honest as they are real.
That estimate is a good deal.

Those prices are a bit on the cheap side of the normal range.
However, I have owned lots of cheap tires and lots of good tires. Those tires are definitely cheap. I have found that usually cheap tires end up getting a belt shift and going lumpy, wobbly and unusable long before the tread actually wears out.
As the car is 9 years old, though, maybe these tires will last the remaining life of the car. Maybe not.
