the sensors are sometimes known to fall out of there holders and lean up aganst the radiator for a misleading reading. if you get down look up the air damn leading to the radiater the sensor is pretty easy to see. You should look at that first if it is just a misleading reading.

Mine is broken the sensor is still there. However it does not send the tempeter back to the display in side the car. Thats why i need a new one. I need part number or if someone has one for sale then let me know.

I can help you.
The Ambient Air temperature sensor (outside temp sensor) you need is part number 16169194, AC Delco part number 1571823.
You can get them for $12.22 at www.rockauto.com
The dealer will try to charge you about $25 dollars for it, which is about $7 ABOVE list..
Happy to help!

Yeah, but the shipping is also much higher there. The minimum shipping charge is like $7.75 there, while it is only $4 something at Rockauto

RockAuto shows $19.83 with S/H to my address
in NC. GMPartsDirect shows $17.84 to my address.
Both using Ground residential delivery.

This is Rock Auto's lowest priced shipping method.
GM partsdirect does not base shipping price
on location, where Rock Auto does. Perhaps
Rock Auto is closer to your address and has
lower prices for shipping to your zipcode. Not
mine.

I just picked one up today at AutoZone for $16... they ordered it and it was here next day. Didn't fix my problem.... Mine reads about 20 degrees cooler than it should.... Anybody else have this problem? Thanks.
