I heard an advertisement that went "The Pontiac G6 will take you from 0-60 in 7.9 seconds". Now that's pretty sad to me...is it a family car or what?

 Yes, it's a mid-size family car. It's not bad in terms of acceleration if you compare it toward the competition, it's also an improvement overall in terms of quality against the Grand Am. Also, it does show a sporty image to it, and it's fun to drive. :sunglasse Another car in Pontiac's lineup of "Driving Excitement."

:evillol: Try a Pontiac GrandPrix GT or a GTP, for a fast sporty premium family car. It's all good! :)

Hey Automan, what does the car you are driving now go 0-60. Does it serve a real purpose to get there quicker than 7.9 seconds instead of say...6.9 seconds...or 6 seconds. Can 2 seconds really make that much of a difference. I understand that if you are in a vehicle that takes ten seconds two seconds would be a big improvement.

The GTP version with the 3900 will certainly be notably quicker. But like Guru said, it's a family car, not a roadster. Consider the GTP the answer to those looking for a roomy family car, but still desire a bit of performance.
