stiff shifter

My 94 GT has 67,000 miles on it, and the shifter is starting to get stiff. Shifting gears kinda feels like I'm not pushing the clutch all the way end. In the old days there was a clutch cable that you could adjust to get more travel as the clutch wore out. That may not be what it is, it just "feels" the same as that. Are there any adjustments to the shifter? Thanks for any suggestions
