Rearview Mirror Problems

anyone else have this problem...you crank up the bass listening to your favorite song driving down the highway when, you notice your rearview mirror keeps tilting down to show you your backseat!
Now, most mirrors would have a little screw on them to tighten them, but not ours! ours have fricken ball joints! greased up little rolly polly ball joints!
So...anyone know how to fix them so they dont roll around? Or anyone know of a good mirror to replace them? With the lights underneath and all???

yeah that happened to me all the time in my other car. all i did was move it back to where it was, and turn up the bass again

likewise, it only happened to me one time when i cranked up the bass. you can either move it back up and still jam or turn down ur radio. which ever one works for you

MitsuGrl2002, I had the same problem as well. Instead of moving it back up....it somehow came off the ball joint and cracked the glass on my shifter knob!! I haven't had a new mirror for the past 5 months cause Mitsu dealer wants $90 for a new mirror. Fuck that shit...I've done fine without one, but if I get pulled over I will get a ticket. It is a bitch to try and fit that ball joint back together!! It laying in my trunk right now.

Well I was thinking superglue...lol just stick it in a spot where I can reletively see no matter how I sit and voila! crank up the bass, sit back, and enjoy a nice massage without staring at the backseat in the rearview mirror =) just...havent gotten around to doing that yet....lol
