Interior Paint

Does anybody know anything about painting the dash on a 95 g/a? I looked at it and it looks like it could be painted. If so how do I go about removing that ugly "grainwork" and what kinda paint should I use? Would a spraypaint made for plastics work? I've seen those commercials for that new paint that adheres to plastic. I wanna get that fiberglass highgloss like the outside of your car look. Let me know if you've done it before or know how to do it and so on...

I have used Krylon paints (for plastic/vynil). If you go into my gallery i have a few photos of what it looks like. I sanded down the parts to remove the "granwork". How much time and how many coats, and if you use a high gloss clear coat...that will depend on how good it looks.

i just did mine over the summer. Yes, regular plastic paints will work such as Krylon. Personnally i bought a GM brand which wasnt much more money and tried to match the color of my car. You gotta sand the parts you want painted then wash the dust off of them, let them dry, paint them until you have the look you want then use about 2-3 coats of clear coat.

I like how your interior matches. I went with a yellow/green theme that i got from some aftermarket speakers i installed. Looks decent i think. Ill try and get some newer pics in my gallery soon. Those dont show it to well. Or show the yellow.
