what i should try to sell for

ok 2 weeks ago i was a dumbass:banghead: that knew nothing about dsms or anycar for that matter. i always had a POS (getting from point A to point B was all that mattered) so when i saw the car i now have, not only did i not take the time to read up on eclipses i was also very hasty in the purchase. oh well you live and learn right? well now from being here in the forums and starting to learn about engines i have seen the error i have made. I NEED TURBO!!!!! haha you all were right i now have turbo envy. only realistic plan i can come up with is to simply sell this car (most likely for less than i bought it for) and get a 96 or 97 GS-t. expensive lesson eh?
anyway id like for you guys to help me pls and pricing this car the KBB private seller lists at 7500. its but greddy headers, cat back, intake, kyn rear adjustables, falken 19" rims and lowprofile falken z rated tires. not sure which body kit and Z3 fenders. about to change Tbelt and water pump and VC gasket and seals.

please tell me what i can sell this for please!!!!:banghead:

You could sucker some one into paying $8000 for it i bet. i had a 98 talon nt with 68,000 mi and decked out like yours and i got $7500 for it. it all depends on the buyer really.

i know its possable i did buy it for $8k :banghead: like i said i was a complete car retard before i got it lol after lookin into how much it would cost to turbo it i was like FUK THAT now i must deal with and correct this mistake. thanks for your replies. i was going to paint it black with a smaller maybe stock spoiler but that wont give me any whp lol if i could sell it for 7500 that would be sweet.

Yeah i feel your pain, i was in the same situation with my old talon. just bite your lip, take the loss, and go turbo.

Hey if you are going to sell it, you should rice it up, Rice sells hehe, No doubt you should be able to get 8k just ask for 8,500 then when your going to sell it just drop $500 (like if your're giving them a deal)

how else could i rice it up lol its pretty damn ricy as is:naughty:. hopefully i dont lose to much over this mistake. but now i know rushing into a car purchase can cost you in more ways than one lol. plus not sure if i like dodging pot holes or tiny dips in the roads haha all the time.:smokin:

man its all about findin the right tard with too much of his daddys money in pocket lol... does it have a system in it? find a cheap sub and amp if not and that will drive cost up a bit i bet... i dont think your have a problem finding a 8k buyer eventually. dont be as hasty selling it as buying it. take your time and hold out for what you need. peace

edit: if you do get 8k back out of it iv seen many 96, 97, 98 talon tsi's, gst's and a couple gsx's in the past month or so on autotrader in that range. research that stuff. if you find a great deal on a talon tsi but want a gsx remember you can switch the front/back covers to convert it. peace

You could prob get rid of it for 8k even more. Just find someone who doesnt know much(like yourself :lol: ) j/k, and sell the car to him! You could ask a little more and drop it, to make it sound like a deal.

If you do sell it for 8k, i have seen some nice gst/gsx recently. I remember seeing a nice gsx for like 6,500 a while back. Just take your time to find the right deal. When you're in a hurry thats when you get screwed.

there are few chips in paint and small cracks in the front and back bumpers. nothing major how much do you think that will affect how much i can sell it for? the interior is in really good condition no cracks in leather either. here is a pic of the front bumper.

You still should be fine as long as it runs good. The car is in fact atleast 5-6 years old. Paint and cracks are usual even though the kit and paint job were done after. Also, when ppl come to see it, try to be confident. Dont try to be desperate, like rushing into things very fast. If you do the buyer will become suspicius and may think there is something wrong with the car. Take your time with selling the car too, dont automatically sell it to the first buyer, unless the price he offers is very reasonable.

it's an eclipse, ever since that f&f movie, they sell like hot cakes, yours should sell real quick, it's really bright and has a huge wing....one question, why did you do that?

IMO look-good mods take a backseat to go-fast mods.

If you can, get an MR2 Turbo(rare) or a celica with a 3sgte swap, or if you are so financially inclined, an STI (financing)...you'll be alot more pleased than with any DSM.

I got my 98 GS-T for 8,700 that was driven by a 43 year old woman for 49K miles who was tired of young people "challenging" her. Car was garaged its whole life, and completely STOCK. I had to search around for 5 months or so, but man is it worth it. Now I'm probably putting in a 14B/16G cause of stupid insurance repairs shop POS forgot to put oil line back :swear: and I drove it for 2 mins before going back and flaming them. ANYWAYS, you could sell it for 8K easily to a retard (especially with those Rice and Furious looks). Good luck!

keep all the rtice crap on it and sticker it up. does it have a bright colored interior? add some cheap neons inside and a bunch of shiny toggle switchs. if your goinna sell it as rice you might as well go all out. :biggrin:
