Liters measurement of an engine dosen't hinder horsepower its just a different measurement of the engine total displacement.

6 Liters = 366 Cubic Centimeters(CID) an vise versa

the liter size is the volume of the motor. Essentially the bigger the volume, the more power you can harness. Other factors contribute to HP mainly the efficiency of the motor.

The engine size is just the change between when the cylinder is open, and fuel and air is added and when it is fully compressed. Multiply that by the number of cylinders and you have to size of the engine

366 cubic centimeters? 366 cubic inches. just a little corection so no one gets confused since 366cm^3 = 0.366litres. basicly the larger the engines the more power it is able to make because more air and fule can be stuffed into it. a 2.0l 4cylender turbocharged runnin 14.7psi of boost should have ~ power of a 4.0l NA 4cyl engine at sea level. in theory anyway. many other factors such as mechanical timing, fule, compression ratio, spark advance, cam, friction from the turbo, friction from assesories (A/C compressor, power brakes, power steering, altinator) and many other things will effect net and gross power output.

ps
this has been covered many a time since ive been here. please dont ask old questions. try using the form seach feature first. thanks.
