about two month's ago I had some hard starts in the morning. motor would crank but not start. then after waiting about an hour it would start right up. it only did it in the morning never in the evening. then the problem went away for over a month
now it will crank but will not start. i have replaced the battery, ignition control module, and ignition coil. the fuel pump and fuel filter have less than 5k miles. I'm getting plenty of fuel at the rail through the schrader valve. plugs, wires, cap, and rotor have less than 10k miles. there is no spark from the coil. no blown fuses can be found. at this point i have been told that it's the ECU or the distributor pickup sensor. any ideas?
p.s. would anyone want to trade for a running vehicle? a little pissed at the moment.

Not sure if you XJ has it, but look for your crank sensor, and I have also read on this forum about a cam sensor that controls your ignition. A hanyes manual should be able to tell you were these sensors are located.
