Annoying 300z and 3000gt

I got these two neighbors who think theyre the shit and do nothing but talk shit to me about my civic. They always doing burnouts late at night and shit and always talk about how fast their cars are. Whenever I chill with them I can barely follow because they're always trying to show off how "fast and furious" they are lol. One drives a 3000gt SL and the other a 300z non-turbo. Well I got fed up and my car (a 91 STD hb) is getting a b16 transplant right now... my question is: is this enough to shut them up, or do I need more?? Cause I'm tired of their shit!

the 3000gt will still be faster, and probably the z also.

even nonturbo theyre both faster than civics with stock B16s

Take a hose. Put it in their gas filler and empty their tanks, then you'll win for sure.

My friend has a '96 3000gt sl automatic and its slow as hell...but I think something is up with either her tranny or engine. Other than that, I have no experience with a non-turbo 300zx or 3000gt.

is the 300z a nissan. because i raced a nissan (it was a z something) on the 1/4 mile. he started in front but i caught up to him easily. i only got a b18a

Unless you drive a heavily modified civic, dont race anything with numbers in the name.

well best way to find out is race them, or someone else that has the same car. if you cant beat them in straight line, race them in a small road course(with tight turns). :)

now this all depends on the years of those cars. but given that neither of those heavy cars are turbo, i think in the quarter mile you will win. the 3000GT SL is FWD too, so thats even easier. i posted the 99 civic Si because its b16a equipped and a little heavier than your STD, and the 92-93 GSR because its damned near the same HP TQ and LBs as your car will be with the b16a.

my 90 STD with a b16a ripped a bunch of cars that people doubted i could beat. in one night i beat a MKIII turbo supra, a v6 camaro, and a police interceptor crown vic.

Ok i'm sure you'll beat them with just a b16a. Both are non turbos and SLOOOW! I believe the non turbo 300zx runs 15.3? Dont get me started on the SL. Its like racing a dx civic ;) Trust me my boy has the dodge stealth n/a 5 speed and i killed him.

A b16 hatch should beat or atleast hang with either of those cars.

I think you will definately spank the sl stealth thingy cause those are weak i drove a 300gt nt and that was weak and the nt 300z those are somewhat quicker but with a b16 you should get them not by much but once you mod it you will leave them i know that...

could come down to the driver, you never know.

you just gotta be a fast/good shifter and not be afraid to go to redline. Once you get traction its easy.

yeah 300z non-turbo, ~220hp..and heavy
3000gt SL with dohc, ~218 hp...and heavy AND fwd.

now the 3000gt vr-4 TT is 320 hp AWD. heavy but enough juice there to get all that weigh moving.
300zxTT...300hp rwd....pretty quick even stock.

the 3000gt sl is dirt slow....i beat them with my semi stock a6.

i think the 300z is a fairer comparison, with the edge to the civic.
the issue being who can drive better.

id say...focus your attention on suspension/ tires/ clutch/ and its a done deal. throw in a phantom grip...and he'll look like an ass. AND DONT DUMP THE CLUTCH...lol...front wheel drive + wheel hop = you lose

The b16 STD is win.
