Hey, I have a 93 Acura integra and I am thinking about dropping in a JDM Type r B18c. However I have a couple of questions about the swap that I will be doing myself:

The swap comes with the axles will I need to use them or the ones I already have?

About the Hydraulic transmission what is the best thing to do... go cable, convert the car to hydro, or other?

Engine mounts, I think they are all the same but maybe one or two?

Any advice or commentary given will be appreciated!!!

thanks... another question, my engine now has 160,000 miles on it. I would be looking ot spend about 3,000 on a type r engine from a 2000 jdm type r. Would I be able to modify my car for less than that and make it faster and more reliable. ex. b16a head ported and polished with type r cams and cam gears titanium double valve springs and the whole works or even a type r head with some mods???

Ok let me get this straight....

You're buying a whole type r swap right? If so, why would want to get the b16 head?? Work with the type r head. It has better air flow and you can just throw in some skunk2 stage cams with there complete valvetrain. You should see close to 200whp with that set up along with hondata program. If you can't afford hondata then get a chipped ecu. Kenji makes good stuff. Then get it tuned.

I meant the b16 head as an alternate to the whole type r swap... thanks for the info though.. from what I hear if not done right to the T the vtec head can leak oil... anyways I think I'm gaing to do the type r swap... everything should cooperate with each other better in my opinion...
