2001 Regal Jerks when shifting

My Regal jerks when shifting from 3rd to the overdrive. I drive 156 miles round trip each day. My commute is 15 miles of "start-stop" following 50 miles of interstate followed by 10 miles of moderate highway driving.
The jerks usually come after the car has been "Wound out" on the interstate and I am driving in traffic.
I have the car serviced on schedule. I thought the transmission service @ 65k would fix this problem. no such luck.
Could it be the torque converter? If it has one?
Anyone have any ideas?
thanks

I've heard of some "jerking' going up slight inclines, mine 1997 does it rarely. Most think it's the torque converter nothing serious yet just an annoyance.
