If its really bugging you most televisions in the US have this little button on the bottom of the TV called the off button! Try using it. Or if you have cable or dish change the channel. PROBLEM SOLVED.

I think they both did really well when it came to their family questions, but John Kerry did an amazing job in his closing speech.

Double posting at its finest...and a half hour apart too!
Anyway, I watched it, and I was very unimpressed with Bush. I have never heard someone avoid questions more than he did.
Example:
Question was about minimum wage, and after Kerry told what he believed about minimum wage, Bush countered with "so and so brought up a bill about minimum wage a while ago and I supported it, but what the real issue is is education." He then goes on to explain what he feels should happen with education, citing his "No child left behind thing" in the process.
Now, my question: what the F does educational rights to underprivelaged people and the future of the his plans for education have to do with raising the minimum wage??
He did that a bunch too. Seems like Bush got :owned: by Kerry tonight to me.

So it's bugging you too, huh?
...
Anyhow.
Bush was stumbling over every other word. This is the sitting President of arguably the most powerful nation in the world, and he can't barely speak the language of his country.
I wasn't kidding about the spittle either. He had that crooked smile of his going, and you can see the shiny spot growing on the right corner of his mouth. A true sign of somebody who is focusing REALLY hard on speaking (or thinking about it).
On to the issues.
KustmAce is correct, in that Bush avoided more questions than he actually answered. Instead of answering what the questions are about, he would lead back to scripted campaign rhetoric. Kerry was guilty of the same, but to a lesser degree, as even though he did bring campaign-talk up, they almost always related directly to the question at hand.
As much as the heavy Bushites claim that Kerry has no plan, it seems that Bush's campaign is the one with no plan. Either that, or they couldn't get the President to remember it. Again, I refer to the fact that although Kerry brought up campaign babble, it is a testament that he had enough of those to address the questions, while Bush...well.
Let me go back to watching the talking heads real quick, and see what more they can squeeze out of the discussions for me, and I'll see what you guys come up with.

I missed the debate. How many times did Kerry remind us that he's a war hero that saved the world? Ten, twenty? All's I want him to do is explain how he "enlisted" as an officer.

.Do you mean; He can barely speak the language, or He can't even speak the language. You can't barely type the damn language. I am by no means an English professor, but if your going to critique someone elses speaking skills, you might want to check your own first.
I don't think the media would have given the debate to W even if he would have blown away Kerry. I think Kerry screwed up big time when he mentioned Cheney's daughter. Kerry may have won this debate, but he certainly will not win the election. Get used to it fellows, 4 more years with W!
