Alignment issues

97 Jetta Trek just under 200k km... I changed the ball joints and tie rods in June and had the car aligned, was fine for a while, then noticed it was pulling and took it in recently and had it re-aligned. It is still off a bit, the guy said I should change the struts AND springs. Should the springs be changed? If so, where do you get them, Autozone doesn't list them.

If a spring was bad you should notice one side of the car rides lower than the other. Get a tape measure & see if each side is the same height to the same point (right/left) on each side of the car.
