well today i start up my car and realize my speedo cable wasn't working. So i went and pushed in the cable in the tranny. Tried driving again, and no luck. So i start pulling out the speedo cable. To my amazement, i noticed that this long piece that's in the cable itself is stuck in the tranny. How do i get it out? grrrr this pissed me off. Here's a pic of what it looks like. Sorry for the crappy pic, it's off my phone.

ok, i got that piece out, now, to take out the whole cable, would i just have to disconnect it from the back of the guage cluster then pull it out? or is there a certain way to do it?

Oh man, the same thing happened to me yesterday. I was pulling my tranny cuz im playing around with gear ratios. Anyways, the cables casing came off but the cable itself didnt. I took the whole tranny out with the cable still connected to it. I took the whole tranny apart and tried pushing it out from the inside, it still didnt come out. How'd you get yours out?
