Nice work! I was thinking of doing the same thing, but my resources at the moment prevent me from doing any 1/24 modelling. What color is planned, and what wheels will you use?

That is a cool project. I am working on a similar project. It is an older chevy (from the USA-1 monster truck kit) kit that I am putting an Esclade clip on. It is a model after my brothers 1:1 97" chevy 1500 w/ an escalade clip!

Seems Escalades are beginning their round. Which gets the motor? During progress, if you wouldn't mind catching a pick of the motor, I'd like to see if it's worth putting into my 'Sclade or not, the box pic isn't very indicative.

Looking forward to this build!
Nice cut job. Can I ask what method you used? Thread, saw or??
Have you thought about some aftermarket rims for the Escalade? Like some 20-24's by Hoppin Hydro's? I know the "lade comes with two choices, but at least HH has a few more choices for you as well.
Again, looks like a great project.

Well I used the back side of a good ol #11 blade. Ive looked at hoppin hydro's rims and I like them but I'd rather use the set from the escalade because i just plain like them. i dont like the wires though.

I planned to do this swap too. I'm too deep in my own wicked 1:1 conversion to do any modeling. Can't wait to see more progress.

What mods are you going to do w/ the rear end (tailgate/bumper/tonneau cover/euro lights)? Also are you going to use the stock grille or the billet one?
ItalianStallion131
10-20-2004, 04:18 PM
Well for the grille I am using the Stock Escalade Grille. I like it better. As for the rear end, Im going to shave the tailgate of its handle and fabricate a roll pan w/supra tailights or so custom ones I haven't even gotten to the bed yet thats the easier part. I've spent all my focus on the front end conversion.

Thank you, I appreciate the compliment. It's a 3/4 static drop.
I saw the Escalade body sitting in the background of one of the pics and i was wondering if you were going to use the Silvy front end. Black always looks great. Althought I dont think I'll ever buy another black car or truck.
