Cross Drilled or Slotted Brake Rotors???

I was looking around and I was curious as to which type of brake rotor is best.

Depends on the application. Slotted & dimpled would be your best bet for street & some track.

cross drilled rotors are more prone to cracking. Reason why the companies are switching to dimpled. Same effects as crossdrilling, but with less chance of cracking.

One more thing to add, drilled are typically found on race cars because of the heavy duty braking system. With so much pressure an constant braking the rotors will begin to glow and cause a gas to release. The gas builds up between the rotors and brake pads creating an uneffcient system. So if your rotors don't glow often you don't really need them. Kinda like a 5pt. racing harness or race seats, its for looks. Nothing worse than a car that looks fast and is slow in reality

I got my cross-drilled brakes from Stillen. High quality and NO cracking. Compared to full face, the braking was worse when they were cold. But once they warmed up the never faded like the sh*tty factory Honda disks.
