Check out http://www.nissanmotors.com it shows the HP for this years maximas.
As far as the speed goes, thats all up to the driver. More HP won't help if you don't know how to use it. But, generally yes.
Check out http://www.howstuffworks.com/horsepower.htm for information about horse power.

Extra weight from the extra moldings. It's a wash. Haha same torque, 5HP. Better driver will when 100% of the time.

the 5 extra hp claimed turns out to be 0 hp extra in a dyno

everyone that has dyno'd theirs...it is basically just an ad campaign...i can believe that they got 5hp out of 1 car before the tranny (flywheel), but when you are measuring actual wheel hp, it doesn't do anything...all of the 2k and 2k1 dynos i've seen are very similar...i've seen 2001 se 5spds that have less hp than 2001 ae 5spds, but i have also seen 2001 se 5spds that have more hp than 2001 ae 5spds...same w/ the autos...the big difference that will help all the ae guys (and in my opinion, what makes the ae worth it alone) is the LSD....that has gotta help tons on traction...i would buy an ae just for that (if they had ae's when i bought my max)...but i like all of the interior stuff they did and adding the body kit and tinted headlights has a nice touch...
i like ae's, don't get me wrong, but the 5 flywheel hp that nissan advertises does not really equate to anything when you actually measure your true wheel hp on a dyno

MrBurner, I'll give you credit, you put up a good fight and with the argument you gave I respect your evidence.
