2.8 strange problem

87 Blazer with a 2.8 litre v6.
The engine has a severe miss, so I wanted to narrow things down.
BTW-This truck had set for 3 years and I recently decided I wanted to do a major rebuild.
Anyway, first i used a laser temp gauge and found that, after a few minutes at idle, 5 cylinders were running at around 210 F. #2 was only at about 100 F. So I pulled the plug and it appeared to be covered in gasoline (I expected an oil foul).
I checked for spark and it was fine. Good strong arc.
Next I did a compression test and got 85 lbs crank and 75 lbs running.
Not bad so I replaced the plugs and started the engine again and still it had the miss and severe power loss. I pulled the #2 and it appeared to be coated in fuel again.
Does anyone have any suggestions where to go from here or what to look for?
Thanks
Dave

75 is very low. Should be near 150psi is I am getting things right.
Do a tuneup with a cap and rotor and new plugs and see if it goes away.

Thanks for the reply BlazerLT.
I replaced the cap, rotor and the plugs.
I also used a known good plug wire to test and still the same results.

Just for shits and giggles, swap another wire in there just to see if the spark problem will go away.

I'd also try pouring ATF fluid in that cylinder (through the plug hole) and let it sit for as long as possible to hopefully help lousen the rings

Thanks for the replies so far guys.
BlazerLT-I think you mis-read my first post. I check #2 for spark and I got a strong arc.
OverBoardProject-Oh Man! I remember that from years ago. (This is my first project in 15 years). I might give it a try. First though I am going to put an anti fouler (if they still make em) over the plug and try it again.
I know 85 lbs is low for cranking but isnt 75 lbs running perfectly acceptable?
